Lamont Brown grew in up Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. He has always loved taking pictures and video since he was a kid and his grandfather let him take pictures at his uncle's wedding. My mother and father would always let me take Polaroids at family functions after that. "They said I had a good eye." Lamont worked for PLP Studios as a production assistant/photographer for 10 years. He also works at Clear Vision Multimedia as a camera operator/floor director/unit still photographer and production assistant for 10 years. While working and honing his aesthetic sensibilities and technical skills he studied photography and T.V/ radio broadcasting at Kennedy King College were he is a radio personality on 89.3 WKKC FM, The International school of Photography and Design, and the Illinois Center for Broadcasting. At Clear Vision he worked for major networks like NBC and WJYS on programs like Emmy nominated N'Digo Studios,Faith Unscripted, Stepping 2 Heaven, The Refuge, and The Chicago Music Awards. At PLP Studios he worked on international ad campaigns like Luster, Millers, Ketel One, and Remy Martin. He also worked as a freelance photographer for Michigan Avenue Magazine, N'Digo Magazine and Chicago Now to name a few. In 2018 Lamont launched the Brown Umbrella Media Corporation which provides professional photography, DJ Services, videography, video editing and photo retouching services. Lamont loves being a content creator, and through constant research for new techniques, attention to lighting, composition and detail Mr Brown is always looking for new creative ways to bring uniqueness into the his photography and videography.
